I have a question about a fender telecaster-esquire conversion…?
i was thinking about taking a fender telecaster, cutting out the neck pickup, then putting a esquire pickguard on it. would there be any problems with this besides having only one pickup? would it mess up the wiring to the bridge pickup? PLEASE HELP!!! =)
Short answer is yes, you can cut the neck pickup out without causing any issues with the bridge pickup. Your pickup selector switch, will of course not serve any function, which will make your guitar not wired like a true esquire.
