Stratocaster Bridge

Stratocaster Bridge
How do you lower the bridge on a Fender Stratocaster?

I have a vague idea, but would like to know how to do it 100% correct. I would like the bridge to rest on the body as it’s currently a floating bridge which can be annoying

If it’s a vintage style Strat bridge, it should rest on the body. Although, there are Strat style guitars with bridges that are meant to float. Whichever type it is… I’d leave it to work as it’s intended to. Can’t really help you beyond that without a photo.

If it’s a vintage style Strat bridge, you’d have to tighten the springs under the back cover until the bridge rests firmly on the body when the guitar is properly tuned. This would probably mess with your string height and you’d have to adjust the saddles for proper action. Your intonation would also have to be readjusted last.
