Replace the bridge with tremolo style Les Paul-Style Bridge?
I have a guitar (Harmony Flying V Copy) which has a start style tremolo bridge and honestly has no reason for the trem and everything he does is pull the string out of tune. I wondered if it was possible to replace this with a system of two parts, such as that found in a Les Paul style guitar. Thanks for anyone help!
Hello! Yes, you can set your guitar with the Les Paul style bridge ( "Tune-O-Matic"), however, will be a bit of work (not to mention the hardware and installation costs), plus have to deal with the gap left by the tremolo bridge. Why do not block the bridge of motion (see http://i83.photobucket.com/albums/j284/JudokaUSA/Block_Bridge.jpg to a method) in any direction, remove the arm tremolo and you're done! You could even block it in one direction (from which he retired in point), tighten the springs down to hold it in position, and use the tremolo arm maneuvers just to dive bomb.
