On a gibson/epiphone guitar, what does the rhythm/treble switch do?
It is a 2-pickup SG
The “rhythm” setting selects the pickup closer to the neck. It generally has more bass, and is a bluesier sound.
The “treble” setting selects the pickup closest to the bridge. It has a more trebley, rock lead sound.
If the switch is in the center, it selects both pickups, so you can blend the two sounds.
