In Final Cut Pro 6, my audio and video were unlinked when I put them on the timeline. What’s the problem?
I dragged the clip onto the time line and the audio and video were automatically unlinked which is really annoying. How do I link them back together?
Drag pointer over the video and two audio layers that you wish to relink so they are highlighted, you can now go into the modify drop down menu and down the list you have the option to link, or link with the audio becoming a stereo pair (so that when you change levels etc the changes apply to both A1 & A2)
When the three tracks are linked their name on the timeline will be underlined. When the audio tracks are a stereo pair two small triangles appear at the start of each track on the timeline.
The keyboard shortcuts are:
apple (command) & L to link the highlighted video & audio tracks
alt & L to make the selected audio tracks a stereo pair.
