Pearland Texas is a city located southeast of Houston, in Harris, Brazoria and Fort Bend counties. It's easily one of the fastest growing districts in the United States. Pearland is bordered by Friendswood, Texas, to the East and Alvin, Texas, to the south. The city was founded in 1894 and the 2000 census the population was estimated in 40,000 individuals. Estimates today put the total around 70,000 people in total. More than eight percent of residents are white, with African Americans constituting a little over five percent. Pearland really was just one stop on a railroad that traveled from Houston to Galveston, Texas. Pearland was "Ring Mark "after a landowner who had a house in the area that was used to sort mail en route to Galveston. And finally the city got its name fruit trees were planted in the area in 1894.
In regard to the economy, the largest employer in the area is the Pearland Independent School District Wal-Mart comes in a distant second. In fact, no major industry in Pearland. Many residents in Pearland are employees of the Texas Medical Center. Residents use the Highway 288 and travel north to downtown Houston. The highway flows very well as there is not much traffic. And the Pearland location is ideal for travel.
Pearland is minutes from NASA, the Kemah Boardwalk and Clear Lake. The Kemah Boardwalk is an area on Galveston Bay and provides residents and tourists with lots of restaurants, water attractions, hotels, and amusement parks. Live bands also appear. Well-known restaurants include the Aquarium and Joe's Crab Shack. This is really big attraction for residents in the Houston metropolitan area.
There are only a handful of Pearland Apartments. And the unemployment rate is low compared with other areas of the city allowing rental rates in some of the newer properties to rival the prices of some properties in the heart of Houston. The Villas at Shadow Creek Ranch is one of the newest apartment projects near the Pearland area. This community was completed in 2007. Rates Renting a room in the existing high-end nine hundred dollars. However, this is probably the most luxurious property in the area. Residents are the Direct access garages with private entrances to some units. All homes are prewired with intrusion alarms, and each unit contains a washer and dryer. In short, these communities are reserved for tenants who have only a certain amount of money. If you make it that the amount appropriated, who do not qualify to live in the community.
