To start a rock band and being the leader should play bass or guitar?
I've played both guitar and bass. After some frustration with the bass guitar i in, and I found it great at first lost its charm after a while. I want to be a leader in a band, and my friend took the guitar, so I'm thinking take the guitar again. But for this I am not sure what the best option, you must stick with bass, guitar and play again, or play them both.
When I think of a man "front" for a band, usually think of someone who is a vocalist or guitarist. There are exceptions without embargo. Someone mentioned Les Claypool (rules!). First, unless you have a very good monitor system, you do not have all the rope to refer to his notes. But I can tell, the fact that I can play bass and sing harmony has gotten me a lot of work.
