Are aluminum electric guitars good for anything?
They might not be aluminum, but I have seen a few musicians on stage with guitars that look either hollow and metal, or plastic with a chrome covering, and I was just wondering what genres those might be good for?
They weren’t resonator guitars either, they looked like Fender Stratocasters, just made of metal.
If you know what I’m talking about, do you know where I can buy one?
If you look on youtube, you can see Satch using one in a couple vids. I also went on to hear a certain pickup, the Lace Alumitone, and one guy reviewing it had one.
IT’S NOT A DOBRO!
Here’s a Link.

I hate it when people don’t read all of the details.
They’re apparently supposed to sound better. I do know they’re louder than regular guitars when not plugged in. Pretty cool. Here’s a website where you can check them out. They have some sound clips and videos too.

Hope I helped.
