No acoustic guitar, electric guitar and bass all the same fingerings for notes?
My friend and I are thinking of starting a band and she plays I want to play electric bass. I wondered if both have the same fingerings for notes. And there's an acoustic guitar to buy if I could help you learn playing bass too. I know it sounds a bit silly but acoustic guitars, electric guitars and bass guitars have the same fingerings for these notes?
Yes, the notes and the fingerings are the same. A four-string bass has the same notes as the deeper lower () four strings of a guitar, only a octave (12 notes) below. That said, a guitar and a low two very different ways of being played and a different feel to them. The time scale at a low (greater chain length and therefore greater distance between the frets) is only one of these differences. The most important thing is how low the foundation, and the groove, together with the drums. As such, they have fiber different than rhythm guitars usually have most of the time. In summary, reproduce differently. To understand the theory music, notes, scales, the structure of music, songs, etc., playing the guitar will be useful insofar as another instrument goes. However, playing low in comparison with a guitar often requires another way of thinking all together. But do not let any of this scare you – just dive in it! We all learn as advance.
