How long does it take to teach himself to play electric guitar?
my cousin gave me his electric guitar and I wanted to learn to play, but no place around where I live to get lessons … some people at school can play guitar but all the children and I am too afraid to ask them to give me lessons so I would like to know how long it usually takes to teach himself to play electric guitar?
I Here is a breakdown of the stages of learning the guitar and the approximate time it can take to get there. – Playing basic chords – This is usually the first benchmark most new players get: The ability to switch between strumming and guitar chords basic. At this point, do not necessarily have the memory line and are not able to play many songs, but will manage to feel uneasy and strum them. This level can be reached within a week. – Playing songs easy – you have mastered more guitar chords and have practiced enough that most of them have memory and are able to strum and switch between them without much trouble, and without looking at the fingerboard to do. This means you can play the songs! This level can be reached in two to three weeks of daily practice, although many may be longer. – Playing Barre and power chords – We are moving right along and is progressing at a level where the majority of self-taught guitarists never go. Barre chords are much more difficult learning open chords and such practice is over and a new set of Force in Fretting hand. You can play more chords Barre in two months faster for some who practice a lot. – Fingerpicking – The ability to boot the individual chains and Play simple riffs (short solo pieces in individual chains) a new skill is playing the hand needs to learn. This can be done two to three months if you start to learn and play easy guitar tabs. – Lead guitar – a guitar is the guy or girl that has the public of their signs / her. Play by yourself and using techniques such as dragging, vibrato, palm muting is a new set of rules and give three to four months. This could be away depending on what type of music we're talking about – playing only acoustic could take less time, but playing rock or metal alone probably take longer. – The wingman – A guitarist who can improvise riffs and solos on the ground (and in the middle of a song), have moved from the area amateurship to be a professional or semi-pro. Depending on the amount of talent he has and what is background music, this can take anything from six months to a year. Note that these lengths of time are given as an estimate very broad and targeted at people with little musical experience. Longer than a week to learn basic chords, do not be angry.
